Personally, I love learning and discovering new ways of achieving goals, discovering new ideas, and I continually work to improve myself through education. Outside of the LIS program, I have been taking training classes offered by the library I work for. Aside from the provided training by the library, I have also begun teaching myself how to build AI programs with machine learning because I had patrons interested in the subject. I wanted to assist them in their information-seeking journey better and understand how AI is and will be impacting search engine results. I am also expanding my knowledge on other STEAM subjects by reading current and future technology peer-reviewed articles that can impact libraries and lead to new programming. After completing my degree, I plan to attend and participate more in roundtables and conferences with the Oklahoma Library Association and American Library Association, of which I am currently a member.
